Children’s Fish Printmaking Workshop
Fish Printmaking is a hugely satisfying project. Oliver says there is absolutely no better subject for making mono-prints, as there is something incredible that happens with the details of the fins and the scales of a fish, that transfers so beautifully into print and becomes an amazing backdrop for additional smudging and line drawing.
Please bring your own choice of whole fresh fish with you. This course requires a minimum of 3 bookings to run. Adults are welcome too!

This Children’s Fish Printing Workshop runs for approximately 1.25 hours in length. As Oliver and his team hold current DBS certificates, parents are welcome to either take the opportunity for a well earned rest – and a cream tea (!) in the garden overlooking St Michael’s Mount, or to use the time for shopping in the town or a walk along the beach which is minutes from Oliver’s studio and home. Monoprinting fish has been a popular activity since Oliver started running print workshops over 20 years ago. There are different ways of doing it but this process works particularly well if you like drawing. It’s not essential but the results can be very exciting. These prints quickly become something far more unique than a drawing. This is a great all rounder for a family group. Suitable for 8 yrs. and older. Please purchase your own fish at the local fishmongers. Old clothes are advisable to wear for printmaking activities ;D This workshop requires a minimum of 3 bookings to run.
